John Boyega breaks down amid powerful speech at Black Lives Matter protest

John Boyega has given an impassioned speech at the Black Lives Matter protest in Hyde Park, London, telling demonstrators gathered to demand justice over the deaths of George Floyd and other victims of racist violence that they were there to ensure safety and an opportunity to flourish "won’t be an alien thought to our young ones".

  John Boyega admitted risking his career as he led an anti-racism demonstration "We are a physical representation of our support for George Floyd," said the actor and Londoner. "We are a physical representation of our support for Sandra Bland. We are a physical representation of our support for Trayvon Martin. We are a physical representation of our support for Stephen Lawrence."

Addressing to the crowd in Hyde Park, Boyega went on: "I’m speaking to you from my heart. Look, I don’t know if I’m going to have a career after this, but f**k that.

Boyega has been vocal in his support of the protestors and in calling out racism, as he did on an Instagram Live video last week.

"That’s a continuous cycle going on – although I don’t live in the States, I’m black. F**k that. I’ll say it again, f**k you racist white people. I said what I said."
