Vandals cut the nose off Zlatan Ibrahimovic statue outside boyhood side Malmo after he bought stake in rival club Hammarby


Zlatan Ibrahimovic's statue outside his former club Malmo has had the nose removed by vandals.

This is the latest damage inflicted to the monument after the Swedish striker announced he had purchased a 25 per cent stake in rival club Hammarby on November 27.

Upset supporters had previously sprayed it with paint, set it on fire and put a toilet seat over its arm.

The structure has since been jet washed by workers in an attempt to clear off the debris and dirt from it.

Ibrahimovic, now 38,was born in Malmo and made his professional debut for the club in 1999.

He would then go on to appear 47 times and score 18 goals before departing for Ajax in 2001.
