South Sudan: Meet Kiir’s PA on whom ambassador spent Shs1billion for wedding

The identities of the South Sudanese couple who blew up Shs1billion on a wedding are finally with us.Ritah Lotua, the personal assistant to the president Salva Kiir and her beau, South Sudan ambassador to Uganda, Simon Duku Michael

The couple behind the lavish wedding held at Serena Hotel at the weekend was, Ritah Lotua, the personal assistant to the president Salva Kiir and her beau, South Sudan ambassador to Uganda, Simon Duku Michael.

The couple is said to have splashed about Shs1billion on a wedding.A fleet of some of the hired cars for the wedding

The decorations alone are said to have cost Shs200million while the rest was spent on hiring of over 60 luxurious cars that were used in transportation of the bride and groom together with their guest.

More money was spent on hiring of 3 halls at Serena for a whole week.Part of the decorations which cost Shs200m

This is the second lavish wedding in less than four months by a South Sudanese couple.

Ironically, South Sudan is one of the poorest countries in Africa.
