Billionaire Dubai ruler in bid to build a new nine bedroom mansion on his Scottish property because his 30-bed estate isn't big enough to accommodate his 23 children, servants and entourage
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, who is worth more than £13billion, has submitted plans to build a house and two lodges for his staff on his 63,000acre estate in Inverinate, Scotland. The Sheikh (inset) already has a triple helipad, a 14-bedroom holiday home, a 16-bedroom luxury hunting lodge, a swimming pool and gym at the Highland retreat (main). In Britain Maktoum is best known for owning top racehorses and Godolphin stables. Architects working on the site plans said the owners 'travel in large groups' and in recent years 'their travel to Inverinate has been limited by lack of accommodation.'
