Chance the Rapper dropped four new songs on Thursday, including one in which he announces his purchase of local news website Chicagoist and calls for Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel's resignation.
In the song I Might Need Security the 25-year-old artist raps: 'I bought the Chicagoist just to run you racist b*****s out of business.'
Chance has long been vocal about social issues in his native city, lending his influence to social causes including police brutality, funding for the arts and public school quality.
In the chorus of the new song the rapper says: 'Rahm, you done! / I'm expectin' resignation / An open investigation on all of these paid vacations for murderers' - referring to police officers who are suspended rather than fired for misconduct.
