Four of the Thai soccer team boys are OUT of the cave - but the other eight and their coach will remain underground until tomorrow
Four of the boys from a missing Thai soccer team, who were later found inside a flooded cave, have been rescued. Emergency services and families were on standby as elite divers and navy SEALs from around the world pulled the boys to safety from the complex cave network in Chiang Rai. Initially, the press, which have been moved away from the site with families were told six boys were freed in the early confusion, but it was later revealed only four are on their way to hospital via ambulances and military helicopters. Divers won't be rescuing any more children tonight, the Thai Public Broadcast Service announced this evening. Eight other youngsters – and their coach – will remain underground tonight and be rescued tomorrow, the state-funded news agency said. The condition of one of the first two boys rescued is 'causing concern', according to a senior health chief. It's thought the starved and exhausted kids are currently being treated in hospital after they were flown in a military helicopter (top right) 35 miles away to be treated. Pictures showed the youngsters being stretchered from ambulances to helicopters (left). Thirty-five emergency doctors were waiting at Chiang Rai Prachanukroh hospital for their arrival.
