St Patrick's Day revellers are warned to STAY HOME as forecasters warn 'dangerously cold' temperatures 'that feel like -10C' will hit the UK tonight during 18 hours of 'mini Beast from the East' misery

The Met Office has warned partygoers to stay indoors tonight as an 18-hour barrage of sub-zero temperatures and snow storms is set to hit parts of the country. Swathes of Britain were bedecked in snow this afternoon but that didn’t stop a Wolves football fan attending a match today (pictured left) or a young boy from playing in his garden today in County Durham (pictured middle). It also didn’t deter a dog owner in Kent from taking his French bulldog a walk this afternoon (top right) or a Dorset resident from taking an afternoon stroll (bottom right). But the ‘mini Beast from the East’ is due to become much more severe from now until 9am tomorrow and forecasters are warning residents to stay indoors and prepare for high winds (pictured inset in Yorkshire) and snowstorms to batter Britain and cause major transport delays.
