Cheryl and Liam put on a united front to join Holly, Rita, Kylie and Myleene on the red carpet at BRIT Awards as the music world shows its support for #MeToo campaign with white rose tribute

Best known as the UK's most raucous night in music, the BRIT Awards 2018 kicked off at London's O2 Arena on Wednesday evening with an air of ladylike decorum. Red carpet arrivals, including Liam Payne and Cheryl (centre) who put on a united front after reports their relationship is in trouble, (from left) Holly Willoughby, Myleene Klass, Abbey Clancy, Rita Ora, Kylie Minogue and Louisa Johnson followed the lead of this year's Grammys Awards 2018 attendees by carrying white roses. The subtle act shows support for the #MeToo campaign against sexual harassment that started on social media last autumn to help demonstrate the widespread prevalence of sexual assault and harassment in the workplace, following the allegations of sexual misconduct against Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood. Performances on the night are expected from former Fifth Harmony musician Camilla Cabello, as well as Rita Ora, while British singer Dua Lipa leads the nominations with five nods. Ed Sheeran, 27, is hot on her heels with four. The live music event will be hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall.
