Damian Green (pictured outside his house far left) has today resigned from the Cabinet in a major blow to Theresa May's government. The First Secretary of State (pictured centre with Mrs May at PMQs today) was 'asked to resign' from the Government by the Prime Minister - who he has been close friends with since they were at university together 30 years ago. An official investigation found that Mr Green made 'inaccurate and misleading' statements about whether porn had been found on his office computers in 2008. Mrs May formally accepted his resignation in a letter (pictured inset left) tonight. The scandal surfaced after former Met Police assistant commissioner Bob Quick (pictured inset right of centre) claimed he found vast amounts of porn on his computer when he raided the Tory MP's offices in 2008. The departure of Mr Green (pictured far right with his wife Alicia Collinson) is a major blow for the Prime Minister as he is regarded as one of her closest allies in politics.
