Lewis Hamilton's horror weekend continues with big crash in qualifying hours after his Mercedes team were held up at gun point near the track

Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton (left) slammed sports organisers in Brazil after members of his Mercedes team were held at gun point point in Sao Paulo last night - just hours before he crashed out of the Brazilian Grand Prix F1 qualifying race (bottom right). Hamilton's horror weekend continued on the track this afternoon after armed criminals made off with belongings that were 'very valuable' to his team at around 8pm last night. On the Interlagos today, Hamilton crashed out of the qualifying race after just two minutes, when he lost control of his car at 160mph and thudded into the tyre barrier. Talking of last night's hold-up in a post on Twitter the champion claimed similar criminal incidents happened in the sport every year and called on F1 to do more about it. He said: ''This happens every single year here. F1 and the teams need to do more. There is no excuse!'
