Remarkable moment surgeons removed a pregnant woman's UTERUS to treat her unborn child for spina bifida

The child of Joshuwa and Lexi Royer (left) was operated on in Texas last month - before being born. Doctors performed a groundbreaking surgery to treat the child's spina bifida. During the procedure surgeons lit up the womb (right), giving it a glowing appearance, and once the uterus was lifted out of the expectant mother, it was drained of amniotic fluid that can ravage a gap in the spinal nerve tissue.
