Wayne Rooney was taking woman office worker, 29, home in her VW Beetle when he was arrested for drink driving after 10-hour drinking session while pregnant wife Coleen was away

Former England captain Wayne Rooney has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The 31-year-old striker was seen dancing on the tables and singing Oasis songs in the Bubble Room bar in Alderley Edge last night. He had left Everton's training ground at 1pm and went out for an Italian meal with his former Manchester United teammate Wes Brown and Burnley defender Phil Bardsley's younger brother at 4pm. They spent the next 10 hours out in restaurants and bars before he was pulled over in a VW Beetle. He was released on bail earlier today and was seen this afternoon making a phone call outside his £6million Cheshire home, where a police car has been parked all day.
