Johnny Depp and Eddie Murphy among A-listers with homes in Irma's path while Trump's St Martin mansion is set for a battering - but Richard Branson barricades himself inside his Necker Island retreat

Hurricane Irma has been branded 'extremely dangerous' as the Category 5 storm crashes into the Caribbean. It has already hit Barbuda this morning as there are warnings of a potential catastrophe. There are a host of celebrity homes in the area (pictured left), including a mega mansion belonging to US President Donald Trump on St Martin (pictured top right) and an island - Little Hall's Pond Cay - belonging to Johnny Depp in the Bahamas. A warning has also been issued to St Barts, Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, Montserrat and Virgin Islands. Among other celebrity homes potentially in the path of the mega hurricane are Richard Branson's 74-acre Necker Island complex in the British Virgin Islands (pictured bottom right) and a $50million pad on St Barts belonging to Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. But Branson, writing on his blog yesterday, said he is not going to leave his island to dodge the storm and has instead bulked up his home's defenses
