Texas residents woke up to massive damage caused by Hurricane Harvey as hit the state's coast

Texas residents woke up Saturday morning to the millions of dollars' worth of damage as Hurricane Harvey slammed into the shore. Winds of up to 130mph, shown top, caused buildings to collapse, light poles to fall over and cars careening onto the side of the road. Dozens were hurt as emergency crews scuttled them to safety. Residents evacuated and those who didn't were told to label themselves in case they died. Although the storm has been downgraded to a Category 1 hurricane with 80mph winds, 40 inches of rain is expected to fall with $40billion worth of damage. President Trump signed a disaster proclamation from Camp David as Harvey became the strongest storm to hit the US in 12 years.
