Aerial pictures reveal work has ground to halt on David and Victoria Beckham's £6m country mansion after huge rows with council planners

New aerial shots show mechanical diggers standing abandoned at the plush £6million Cotswolds home owned by David and Victoria Beckham as renovation work lags months behind schedule. The lavish country pile was purchased by the couple from an old Etonian pal of David Cameron, and they had hoped to move in over the summer. But bureaucratic red tape has seen the project grind to a halt, and it now looks unlikely the family (pictured, top inset) will be able to move in this year. They have spent recent weeks at their home in Los Angeles while the long-running saga rumbles on after planners from West Oxfordshire District Council blocked elaborate work on the property, meaning a new application had to be lodged. On the country estate, huge heaps of gravel give little indication that work on the grounds will be completed anytime soon.
