Eight people have been killed after their minibus was 'squashed flat' in a serious crash with two lorries in the early hours of this morning. 

The drivers have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving with one man facing a charge of being over the alcohol limit.

Four others - including a young child - remain in hospital after the collision at 3.15am near junction 15 southbound at Newport Pagnell in Buckinghamshire.

Police say the minibus was travelling from the Nottingham area. One eyewitness said it was 'devastating' that a whole family had been 'destroyed'.
