Father and son have a very close encounter with a 25ft SHARK as the enormous predator swims scarily close to their fishing boat in Cornwall

A boat of day trippers got up close and personal off the coast of Cornwall - with a huge shark. The 25ft-long giant approached the little fishing boat when it stopped in the water off Mullion. The people on board held their breath as the sinister shape of the dorsal fin slowly approached, weaving through the calm of sunset. The curious shark then turned towards the boat and circled it just below the surface before stopping feet away. For a while it hung motionless in the water, clearly visible to those on board. But despite its size the shark posed no danger as it was a harmless basking shark, one of the gentle giants of the deep.
