Diane Abbott has been mocked and compared to a test dummy after delivering a car crash interview over Labour's pledge to recruit 10,000 more police officers. The shadow home secretary was this morning left stuttering after she wrongly said the plan would cost just £300,000 over four years - which would mean each officer being paid a paltry £30.
