Prince Sverre Magnus, 11, performed the popular 'dab' dance move on the balcony of Oslo's Royal Palace last night during his grandparents' joint 80th birthday celebrations
As the Norwegian nobility gathered on the balcony of Oslo's Royal Palace for last night's celebrations, they were watched by millions around the world.
But one mischievous young royal was clearly tired of all the pomp and show when he cheekily performed the popular 'dab' dance move for the crowds - much to the amusement of his cousins.Eleven-year-old Prince Sverre Magnus, who is the younger child of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, and third-in-line to the Norwegian throne, emerged as the star of the show during the birthday celebrations for King Harald and Queen Sonja.
The dab has become popular among celebrities and sport stars alike, with Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba famously performing 'dabs' after scoring goals.
And the little prince's sense of humour clearly runs in the family, as his father Crown Prince Haakon pulled a bizarre prank when he shaved his beard off in the middle of a speech at last night's gala dinner.
Glamorous royals from across Europe assembled in Oslo last night to mark the King Harald and Queen Sonja's 80th birthdays.
As the monarch's grandson and third-in-line to the throne, Sverre Magnus played a central role in Tuesday evening's celebrations but it clearly all got too much for the cheeky youngster as he pulled a series of silly poses on the balcony.
Luckily his cousin, 12-year-old Leah Isadora Behn, was on hand to give him a sharp nudge in the side.
