This car park isn't big enough for the three of us! Banker couple, finance boss and doctor are embroiled in bitter court battle over width of parking spaces outside their £1.45m Hampstead homes
Bankers Andrew (inset, second from right) and Penny McSpadden (right) have been at war with finance company boss Sheriar Bradbury (inset, left) for years over the width of spaces outside the converted church they share in Hampstead, north London (main image). The dispute escalated after Dr Sophie Hanina's art dealer parents, Mary and Yuval, paid £1.45m for the third house in the three-home development as a buy-to-let for her in 2013. Branding the row a 'tragedy', Mary Hanina, 70, claimed her daughter's space has been squeezed into an unusable slither, sandwiched between a convertible BMW and 4x4 Volvo, where only a 'professional driver' could park. The McSpaddens claim they are doing nothing wrong, that Mr Bradbury is taking up more space than he should and that both sets of neighbours often box their car in. Mr Bradbury, however, claims the whole dispute - racking up six-figure lawyers' bills at Central London County Court - is a waste of time as it could easily be solved by everyone parking a few inches along.
