The ISIS suicide bomber's house that was paid for by YOU: Jihadist bought £220k three-bedroom semi with his £1m Gitmo payout - six years before blowing himself up in Mosul attack
A British ISIS fighter who was handed £1million in compensation after he was freed from Guantanamo Bay spent £220,000 on a three-bedroom semi in Stockport where neighbours grew concerned about his activities, MailOnline can reveal. Jamal Udeen al-Harith, 50, right, splashed out on the smartly decorated family home in a quiet street in April 2011. He had lived there with his wife Shukee Begum and their four children but detonated a suicide bomb in an ISIS attack on an army base near Mosul this week, inset right. Police were asked to investigate after neighbours became concerned about his 'comings and goings' but locals say nothing was done until six months after he disappeared. The three-storey period building, now empty, which lies on a short street just off the A6 came with a conservatory, modern fitted kitchen, top left, a refurbished four-piece bathroom and a large garden.
