INFAMOUS Klu Klux Klan “Imperial Wizard” has been found dead amid suspicious circumstances after he “packed his bags, took his guns and disappeared”.
Police have launched an investigation into Frank Ancona’s death after his body was discovered near a river three days after he went missing.
The 51-year-old self-proclaimed “Imperial Wizard” of a chapter of the white supremacist group near St Louis, in Missouri, was last seen by his wife on Wednesday after “packing a bag and taking his guns” and had not made contact with family since.
His wife Malissa said he told her he had been called to work to make an “out-of-state delivery”.
Police said Ancona’s employer did not send him on any such job and they contacted the authorities after he failed to turn up to work on Friday.
Ancona runs the website "Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan” which features photographs of him wearing KKK robes in front of a burning cross.
Washington County Sheriff Zach Jacobsen said: “We processed the scene and the body was transported by the Washington County Coroner’s office for an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
