Sky NewsDonald Trump inauguration: Do you know who this singer is?
Singer Jackie Evancho, who shot to fame on America’s Got Talent as a child, sang performed the national anthem at Mr Trump’s inauguration ceremony.
The 16-year-old starlet agreed to sing at the inauguration even though high-profile singers such as Celine Dion and Elton John refused to take part in celebrations.
Boris Epshteyn, director of communications for the inaugural committee, said: “As the youngest solo artist to ever go platinum, she is a true role model and inspiration for people young and old in our country and around the globe.
"Jackie represents the best and the brightest of America.”
Since finding fame on America’s Got Talent in 2010, she has brought out six studio albums, three live albums, an EP and singles.
Five of her six albums have hit the number one spot on the Billboard Classical Albums charts.
Mr Epshteyn has denied reports that the Mr Trump’s team had trouble finding celebrities to take part in adjuration celebrations.
“It’s not a concert, it’s not about the celebrities… It’s about the people and that’s what we’re concentrating on,” he told CNN.
He said that the Rockettes, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and other performers will “represent the American people” at inauguration events.
