A Russian plane reportedly carrying 91 people has disappeared from radar just minutes after takeoff over Sochi while en route to Syria. Russian media is reporting the Tu-154 model plane went missing just minutes after it took off on the country's southwest coast bound for the Latakia province. It is being reported 91 people were on board the plane when it vanished from radar. The Federal Air Transport Agency told RIA Novosti the flight was 'not civilian'. Reports also claim those on board were members of the famous military band, Alexandrov Ensemble, and nine media reports. The band was reportedly traveling to the Hmeimin air base, where it was due to ring in the new year with troops stationed there.
