Fury as High Court ruling throws Brexit into chaos by forcing humiliated Theresa May to allow MPs to BLOCK referendum decision to leave the EU

Theresa May suffered a massive legal 'slap in the face' today when judges ruled she cannot trigger Brexit without permission from parliament.
The dramatic decision handed down at the High Court this morning threatened to send the Prime Minister's plans for cutting ties with Brussels into turmoil.
It sparked furious accusations that 'activist' judges are mounting a 'power grab' by siding with pro-EU campaigners against the will of the public.
But the premier has defiantly vowed to appeal against the ruling that MPs must be asked to back invoking Article 50 - which begins the formal two-year Brexit process.
Downing Street insisted Mrs May still believed she should be able to launch the mechanism on her own under the so-called 'royal prerogative' powers granted to ministers.
The stage is now set for an extraordinary showdown in the Supreme Court next month - with the fate of the country potentially at stake.
In another day of high octane political drama, the court backed a challenge spearheaded by businesswoman and former model Gina Miller - who argued Mrs May did not have the power to trigger Article 50 without authorisation from MPs and peers.
