Commuter chaos as Britain is battered by Storm Angus: Flooding on the lines leaves passengers stranded for hours as 75 warnings are issued and a father is feared drowned after being swept away
Travellers have been left stranded at stations and facing hours of delays, while it its believed the flooding may have taken its first life as police search for Russell Sherwood, 69, in Bridgend, Wales. Mr Sherwood, from Neath, was on his way to pick up his wife in Bridgend in his silver Ford Focus around 6.15am on Sunday, but never reached his destination. Search teams assisted by a helicopter searched the River Ogmore Mr Sherwood this morning this morning but had to stand down.
