Britain shivers under the first snows of winter as forecasters warn of MORE flurries set to bring chaos this week
Parts of northern England were covered in snow today which caused chaos for motorists who ended up getting stuck on the roads in Nenthead, Cumbria, on Sunday morning (right). Staff at Hartside Cafe in Cumbria cleared snow from the patio as snowfall blanket parts of the North today (left). Meanwhile, Elsa, eight, was photographed sledging in the snow near Nenthead (inset). Britain is set to shiver for the next few days while the country is hit by cold winds and shattered showers. And the snow is set to continue into next week in areas of the Peak District in Derbyshire, where temperatures will continue to drop.
