Trump is repeatedly BOOED as series of mean-spirited Clinton 'jokes' fall flat at traditionally light-hearted New York charity dinner (but at least they shook hands)


The candidates could barely stand to look one another in the eye as they arrived for the Al Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner in New York, frostily taking their seats on either side of Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan (center). Clinton, colorful in a fuchsia suit, appeared to bypass her opponent's wife Melania, (inset) too. So tense was the atmosphere between the sparring pair, host Alfred Smith IV attempted to break the ice with a questionable joke. Welcoming guests to the dinner, a staple fixture in presidential campaigns, Smith joked: 'I have no doubt that our guests tonight are up to the task.
