Kim Kardashian is reunited with Kanye in NY - flanked by security - after fleeing Paris on private jet following £8.5m jewellery robbery by gang who bound and gagged her and put a gun to her head

Kim Kardashian was reunited with Kanye West as she arrived back in the US today on a private jet after her terrifying ordeal in Paris at the hands of masked gunmen. The reality star, 35, was robbed by five armed men wearing ski masks and clothes with police markings who put a gun to her temple, left her tied up in the bathroom of her luxury residence in Paris and stole millions of dollars' worth of jewellery. Kim reportedly 'begged for her life' and told the gunmen she had children at home when two of them entered her room and held the gun to her head. The men stole a jewellery box worth £5.24 million and a ring worth £3.5 million, prompting fears that the valuables were personal ones, and not just jewellery Kim was borrowing for fashion week. Kim also lost two of her prized smart phones - ones that are likely to contain a great deal of personal information. She arrived back in New York this afternoon with her mother Kris (right) and surrounded by a visibly strong team of bodyguards (inset). She was also not wearing the £3.5m ring (circled) which it is feared was taken in the robbery.
