Officers were on guard outside the hotel room in Gran Canaria (inset) last night as Gareth Bale's fiancee Emma Rhys-Jones (left with Bale) is 'scared stiff' the couple could be targeted next. The 25-year-old's family have endured several arson attacks in south and north Wales in the past few days and are understood to have gone into hiding. The troubles appear to have been sparked by the disappearance of her cousin Epiphany Dring (right), last seen five weeks ago and believed to be carrying a 'suitcase containing £300,000, cocaine and Rolex and Kors watches'.
