Breaking News Patient dies after ambulance explodes outside hospital A&E


Dramatic pictures show the moment the vehicle was engulfed in flames just yards from Naas General Hospital in Co KIldare in Ireland. A man in his 70s, who was inside the ambulance, died in the fire but the medic's condition was not believed to have been life-threatening. Witnesses reported hearing loud bangs and seeing thick black smoke amid fears the fire was going to spread to the building. Gardai said the fire broke out at about 2pm and the emergency department was shut down following the blaze.
