Hundreds of thousands of athletes and visitors headed to Rio this summer and, if stats from Pornhub are to be believed, it seems they’re a pretty horny bunch.During the two week games, traffic to the world's most popular adult site increased in Rio by an average of 10%.
The second day of the games saw the usual traffic volume from the Brazilian state of Rio de Janeiro jump as high as 15% above average traffic levels.
And it wasn't just those in Rio that appear to have been enjoying some online action.
It seems that the world also took an keen interest in Rio as well.
Pornhub searches containing “Rio” were up 243% above average, peaking at 519% on August 7th.
The third most common Rio related search was “Rio Olympics”.
Searches relating to “Olympic” and “Olympian” went up 2729% above average, peaking on August 7th at 3916% above normal levels.
The most popular search was “nude Olympics”, followed by “Olympics” and “sex Olympics”.
