Mystery of boy seen being 'bundled into a black van' after leaving his mountain bike on the pavement as police launch helicopter search for vehicle

Police are desperately hunting for new leads over the alleged kidnapping of a six-year-old boy after ruling out a VW seen on CCTV as the van that took him. Officers say they are treating the report 'extremely seriously' and spotted the modified VW van that matched the description after checking cameras in the area. But they have now tracked the driver and ruled it as they van that the boy was 'bundled' into in Redhill on Thursday, according to a witness. A police cordon remains in place today (pictured, left and right). Officers say such cases are rare and confirmed that the boy appeared to leave his mountain bike at the scene (inset and right), fueling suspicion he was taken against his will.
