Apple holds Europe to ransom: Tech giant threatens to cut jobs in EU after Brussels orders it to pay back £11BILLION in tax over 'illega deal with Irish government

EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager (main picture) said a three year investigation into Apple's sweetheart deal with Ireland found the tech giant paid as little as 0.005 per cent tax. In 2011 Apple's profits outside America were 22 billion US dollars but Ireland agreed only 50 million euros was taxable. Apple and Ireland will appeal the £11billion bill and the tech giant's CEO Tim Cook (inset), who previously called the probe 'political c**p', is threatening EU job losses and funding cuts.
