Italians outraged as three women tourists strip down to bikinis to frolic in 400-year-old fountain

The women stripped down to their skimpy swimwear and splashed about in the Fontana dell'Acqua Paola, leaving Romans furious at the show of disrespect to their 17th century monument. A local magazine tweeted: 'It is very hot but the fountain of the Janiculum can not become a pool tourists Rome deserves more respect!'
