Graduate hits back with a viral response after a lecturer told her there was ‘NO SPACE’ for black writers on her theatre course

A student who was told there was 'no room' for black playwrights in her studies has hit back in spectacular style - with a viral social media post telling how she went on to sell out an entire theatre with her own play.

Eno Mfon, 21, has now revealed that the lecturer who rebuffed her has had to pay to watch Eno's own
play on stage.
The talented playwright posted her graduation photo on social media this month with a triumphant 'told you so' to university staff - and received a stream of support from her followers.
She wrote: ‘When you're the only black kid on your course and one of the head lecturers tells you there's no space for black theatre makers on the curriculum so you spend three years learning about Chekhov and Carol Ann Duffy but then realise that you can write your own stuff for lil black girls and so you do that, and sell out the Bristol Old Vic and the lecturer that told you there's no space for you, pays to watch you perform.’

Her post has been liked and shared hundreds of times on Facebook, with almost 2,000 likes on Instagram and been met with a stream of support from her friends.
