Jeremy WANTS to go! Tom Watson claims embattled Corbyn is being STOPPED from quitting by John McDonnell and his closest aides

Jeremy Corbyn, pictured, is expected to face a formal challenge from Angela Eagle, until Monday his first shadow secretary of state, at 3pm today. There are strong rumours Owen Smith, another senior Labour MP, is also prepared to gather the 50 nominations necessary to trigger a leadership contest. Mr Corbyn has repeatedly insisted this week he is not going to resign despite an unprecedented revolt from Labour MPs and his team has demanded the rebels start a contest if they believe they can win.
