Hundreds of England fans - and ex-player Stan Collymore - are baton-charged and sprayed with tear gas in Lille as they celebrate Russia's defeat in Euro 2016
Hundreds of England fans surged from a pub where they had been chanting 'we hate Russia' before running through Lille city centre this afternoon. Dozens of riot police (bottom, holding down a man)
trailed them and, when the fans were corralled in a side street, fired tear gas (top) to disperse them. The violent scenes unfolded shortly after Russia were beaten 2-1 by Slovakia at the city's Métropole stadium. Commentator and former footballer Stan Collymore (inset) was among those sprayed with tear gas amid chaotic scenes a day before England are due to take on Wales in their second game of Euro 2016.
