Is this the future of plane travel? Cabin transformed into spectacular viewing platform with giant rectangular windows and skylights on the ceiling
Brazilian-based aerospace company Embraer have designed a multi-window cabin in their $55million Lineage 1000 series, the concept being called the 'Kyoto Airship.' The design team took into account the fact that passengers may want to sit on the floor of the aircraft, rather than in a traditional seat, with the Kyoto Airship being named in reference to how a Japanese traveller may prefer to fly. The longer windows and sky panels, or skylights, ensure views are available whatever the seating position. Pictured inset is where the futuristic cabin area will be on the plane.
