Pensioner Rose Owen and her businessman husband Lewis Owen, (bottom right), had been in Thailand for a month on their annual trip to visit the country, and had been joined by their son, also called Lewis, when they were set upon by the gang in a shocking attack caught on CCTV. Police in the Hua Hin tourist resort have revealed they were beaten unconscious by a gang of drunken yobs after the couple's son brushed the arm of one of the gang members in the busy street (top right). Mrs Owen, also 68, pictured centre in her hospital bed, is understood to have sustained serious head and eye injuries in the brutal assault. Police have arrested two men Suppata Baitong and Yingyai Sangkham, inset, both aged 32, bottom right, and are hunting for their accomplices.
