Parents of four-week-old baby boy who died wedged between a bed and a wall after they went on 24-hour Christmas drinking binge and FORGOT where they left him WON'T be prosecuted

Tragic Freddie Neil (right) was found lying on the floor wedged between a wall and bed in a bedroom at his home in Blackpool and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital. His parents Matthew Neil (left) and Kim Smart-Neil (centre and inset) were arrested and charged with neglect and manslaughter, but the CPS later decided to drop charges after deciding there was not enough evidence. Details of the baby's shocking death have been revealed after a serious case review. Mr Neil was an 'admitted alcoholic' who told hospital staff he was drinking 'seven plus pints per day'. Speaking after the report findings, Mr Neil denied either he or his wife was drunk at the time of their son's death, but admitted: 'We both had more than we should've.'
