© Provided by Mirror Paralympian superstar Oscar Pistorius struck his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp with a cricket bat before he shot her dead, it has been claimed.
The 29-year-old claimed during his trial that he shot the model by mistake through the toilet door, then battered the door down using the bat.
© Provided by Mirror However a new investigation carried out by forensic expert brothers Calvin and Thomas Mollett claims to explain two wounds on Reeva's back.
These would be consistent with the tip of the bat, the brothers say.

Pistorius shot Miss Steenkamp, 29, four times during the killing three years ago.

But judges ruled he had intended to kill Miss Steenkamp during a row, and he is due to be sentenced in June.
