'Madonna's Rocco row is nothing compared to the battle she will face with Mercy': Star must talk to family of Malawi 'orphan' she adopted or face serious rift, warns best friend of girl's REAL mother

Agatha Molande, far left, inset picture, was best friends with Mercy James' mother Mwandida, inset far right, who died eight days after the little girl was born in January 2005. Her family were unable to care for Mercy, so placed her in an orphanage - and that, Agatha says, is where the confusion began. The 25-year-old nurse says the family, including grandmother Lucy Chekechiwa (pictured left with visiting Mercy), always intended to bring her home - but then she was adopted by Madonna (right, with Mercy). Now, Agatha says, the family have realised she is not returning to them - and bringing her home is 'battle they will not stop fighting'.
