The baby born in hell: Tragic migrant mother gives birth in the squalor of Idomeni's tent city and washes the child in a PUDDLE
This is the shocking moment a migrant mother living in a tent city in Idomeni on the Greek-Macedonian border is forced to wash her newborn baby in a puddle as Europe's refugee crisis continues to deteriorate. The mother, along with 14,000 other people has been prevented from continuing the journey northwards by Macedonian president Gjorge Ivanov who said he did not want his country 'flooded by jihadists'. The migrants are forced to live beside railway tracks and in muddy fields because their route towards Germany and Britain is blocked. Many of those living in the tent city are forced to scavenge for firewood by cutting down trees. Almost 150,000 refugees have crossed the Mediterranean this year, and with 2,000 arriving every day authorities in Greece are struggling to cope.
