Nursery tries to send Asian boy aged FOUR on a 'deradicalisation' programme after he drew a picture of a large knife chopping a cucumber - and staff thought he called the fruit a 'cooker bomb'
Staff at the young boy's nursery in Luton apparently issued the warning after he drew a picture of a man with a large knife chopping the vegetable. Their comments were sent to a panel - including social services workers - after they became concerned in November last year but the panel decided no further action should be taken. The boy's mother, who has not been named to protect the boy's identity, told the BBC's Asian Network she was 'baffled' by the nursery's response. The above two drawings were completed by the boy and are believed to show the man with the knife (left) and the man after he has chopped some cucumbers (right).
