Justin Bieber has smashed Vevo records by becoming the first artist to reach 10 billion views.
The Canadian superstar is officially the most popular artist on the video streaming platform, following the release of latest album Purpose.
Bieber, who became the first star to reach the one billion mark back in 2014, has clocked up four billion views since September alone.
Vevo said in a statement: “Justin quickly gained momentum, as well as the top spot on Vevo’s chart, which he has maintained it for 19 consecutive weeks.”
The star’s breakthrough hit Baby has currently been viewed 1.3 billion times while last year’s Sorry has 1.1 billion and What Do You Mean? Currently stands at 887.7 million.
The only other singers to have videos with over one billion views are Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.
Bieber, who has just kicked off his Purpose world tour, has come under fire this week for cancelling all of his fan meet and greets.
On Tuesday night he posted a message to fans, which read: “I end up feeling so drained and filled with so much of other people's spiritual energy that I end up so drained and unhappy.
“Want to make people smile and happy but not at my expense and I always leave feeling mentally and emotionally exhausted to the point of depression.”
