Terrifying moment homeowner was beaten to a pulp by gang of 35 thugs wielding baseball bats and golf clubs after he confronted the stone-throwing youths outside his house

Simon Clarke (inset), 44, was mercilessly attacked with baseball bats, golf clubs and even a hammer outside his property in Baildon, West Yorkshire, on New Year's Day. In shocking CCTV footage taken at the scene, the gang of youths can be seen surrounding Mr Clarke (main picture), before bundling him to the floor (bottom left) and launching a brutal three-minute attack. The father-of-two, who came out of the property to ask them to stop throwing stones (top left) today told how he feared for his life as one of the thugs shouted 'I am going to kill you' before punching and kicking him as he lay defenceless on the ground. He was only saved when his brother George, 50, came out of the house, forcing the gang to flee from the scene. Mr Clarke has now released CCTV of the attack in a bid to find those responsible. The footage has been viewed nearly 400,000 times on social media.
