New Yorkers turn on each other with passive aggressive notes and shaming tactics over snow shoveling following epic blizzard
After Storm Jonas dumped more than two feet of snow in the city, some New Yorkers have posted passive aggressive signs as large amounts of ice, snow and slush remain on the streets. A sign was posted on a snow pile in Crown Heights (left), stating: 'This path was made by an unknown young woman with her own shovel and no help from anyone. Thanks for making this crossing possible'. Another sign was posted in Park Slope (right) that read: 'This hideous, dangerous, illegal, uncleared corner brought to you by Astoria Bank.' Meanwhile, the twitter account @ParkSlopePile took to social media to shame local businesses that had failed to clear the sidewalk in front of their shopfronts. Mayor Bill de Blasio, who has come under fire for the remaining snow, has issued a call for 'emergency snow laborers'.
