Belgian police open fire on motorist who tried to ram them during terror raids as 16 people are arrested across Brussels - BUT world's most wanted man is still on loose 'on his way to Germany in a BMW'

Belgian police open fire during Brussels raids as Salah Abdeslam 'heads to Germany'
Central Brussels, usually bustling on a Sunday evening, was virtually deserted, with police and troops on patrol. Belgian police opened fire on the driver of a vehicle during raids targeting terror suspects across the city last night in which 16 people were arrested. Authorities raided 19 properties in the coordinated police operation, arresting 16 people who are set to appear before a judge today. The prosecutors office said it was during a raid on a snack bar in Molenbeek that the man drove at police, who opened fire on his vehicle.
