America on edge: Two flights to Paris are diverted by bomb threats and an innocent Muslim family is ejected from a plane on airport tarmac for 'watching the news' on their mobile
The passengers were removed from Spirit Airlines Flight 969 at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport on Tuesday morning after a female passenger alerted a flight attendant. All four of the removed passengers (two
seen in main and bottom right in images from video taken by other passenger) were released without charges after a few hours. They were described as a husband, wife and relative traveling together, and a third man who was sitting near them. All passengers were removed from the early-morning flight so the plane and luggage could be cleared again by the TSA. The 6am flight finally departed for Chicago's O'Hare International Airport sometime after 9am. On Tuesday afternoon, Chicago police bomb squad officers (top right) investigated an unattended bag at O'Hare Airport and found that it posed no threat.
